Our aim is to work with you to mitigate or alleviate weaknesses and focus design efforts on areas of competitive advantage. We do this by asking the hard questions to identify issues such as inconsistent design, failure to understand the customer or lack of innovation. We then apply or create tools and strategies to grow capability in these areas. Companies that address these shortfalls will see shorter design lead-times and rework, greater levels of customer engagement and satisfaction and more consistently successful commercialisation of ideas. 2. We help companies with challenging design projects At this 'micro' level designindustry works with companies on a particular project - an idea, opportunity or need to be addressed through a new system, process, product or service. We focus on evaluating concepts, testing assumptions, exploring alternatives and determining the 'fitness for purpose' of the idea being considered. designindustry's Ten Design Principles™ are used as a framework to rigorously test the idea, harmonise creative and analytical viewpoints within your company and build consensus around the direction to be taken.
